Germany's Ambassador to Moldova Matthias Meyer highlighted the need to continue the dialogue with all the actors and partners involved in the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict and expressed his hope this year's last round of 5+2 negotiations will be productive. The statement was made at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Eugen Carpov, Info-Prim Neo reports. Eugen Carpov thanked the German diplomat for the assistance offered by Germany by hosting the EU-Moldova Forum, which took place in late October in Berlin. The Deputy Prime Minister said that the event represented yet another proof of the European Union's active support for the European integration aspirations of Moldova. Other issues discussed with the German Ambassador included the promotion of confidence-building measures between the two sides of the Nistru, the freedom of movement of persons and goods, the activity of the sectoral work groups, the procedures of replacing education certificates issued by institutions in the Transnistrian region, and others. The last round of the 5+2 negotiations this year will be held during November 27-30 in Dublin, Ireland.
