The second Generosity Gala staged by the CCF (Child, Community, Family) Moldova and HHC (Hope and Homes for Children) of the UK this year was held with the support of soprano Valentina Nafornita, who is the patron of CCF/HHC Moldova. This year, the proceeds from the sale of tickets will go to finish the construction of the first community home in Chisinau “Home of the Future”, which is designed for 12 abandoned children and children with severe disabilities. Afterward, the institution will be transferred under the management of the Chisinau Municipal Council and will be a service that will be fully financed from the local public budget, IPN reports.

According to the organizers, at the “Home of the Future” the children will be cared for by qualified personnel and will benefit from rehabilitation and services in their community, without being isolated, as it often happens in the case of such children. “A society that praises and protects its children is free, prosperous and happy. We, the grownups, are obliged to protect these children who, for different reasons, remained without the protection and love of their family,” said CCF/HHC Moldova president Liliana Rotaru.

The Generosity Gala brought together celebrities who support the mission of CCF/HHC Moldova. Among the special invitees were Valentina Nafornita and her husband Mihai Dogotari, who is the baritone and soloist of the Vienna State Opera, the Chisinau Youth Orchestra and the famous Romanian pianist Sergiu Tuhutiu. “I’m near CCF/HHC Moldova through what I can do best. I hope my voice will help this noble cause now and in the future,” said CCF/HHC Moldova patron Valentina Nafornita.

At the Generosity Gala, Chateau PURCARI launched an exclusive new wine called “Vinohora’’, in support of the “Home of the Future”. Each 5 lei from the sale of a bottle of wine will be directed to the construction of the home. The event was followed by a dinner and an auction of valuable objects. The proceeds will also go to the community house.

CCF/HHC Moldova is a nongovernmental and nonprofit organization that represents the British foundation “Hope and Homes for Children”.
