The general spring cleanup is to be begin in the municipality of Chisinau next week. This will continue until the end of April. In the period, employees of the Public Amenities Division will carry out cleanup works in the managed areas.
Vasile Efros, head of the Division’s Cleanup Service, has told IPN that after removing the snow, the Division’s workers started to collect the sand that accumulated by the roadside. The streets are being washed. The employees collect leaves in yards of apartment buildings and other areas.
The general spring cleanup will end before the Easter holidays. Cleanup activities will also be staged along the Byk River and at improvised waste dump. Citizens of Chisinau will also be involved in the cleanup works.
The cleaning of playgrounds, waste storage platforms and green areas in yards of apartment building is also the Division’s responsibility.
