The employees of the City Hall could move to a new open space office, while the building on Vlaicu Pârcălab street will be renovated and transformed, for example, into a museum. The general mayor of Chișinău, Ion Ceban, described his plans during a City Hall meeting.

Ion Ceban said that only the protocol hall and the mayor's office could remain in the current headquarters of the City Hall. Additionally, financial resources will be secured for next year's renovation of the building, which is part of the city's cultural heritage.

The mayor said that the municipality can afford same expenses as present ones for renting and maintaining the new office, namely 40 thousand lei in the summer and 240 thousand lei in the winter.

Ion Ceban added that, within a year at most, the City Hall will be digitized, "ranging from services to internal procedures". According to the mayor, today, IT specialists will check data classifiers at the City Hall. The modernization of City Hall will start with the development of a single digital gateway.
