General death rate of the population of the capital in 2005 increased slightly

General death rate of the population of municipality Chisinau, including manpower, in 2005 registered a slight growth, the head of Health Department, Victor Savin, said. According to him, the death rate influenced the dynamic of the natural progress, to decrease, the difference being 0.9 cases. General death rte per 1,000 inhabitants of the capital was last year 8.9, and manpower – 4.7. On the first stage in the structure of death rate are situated cardiac diseases with 51.5%, followed by malign tumours with 16.1%, traumas and intoxications with 10.2%, being less that the general rate on the country level. Therefore, Victor Savin noted, during last year in Moldova there have died because of cardiac diseases 69.8 persons per 1,000, because of malign tumours – 14.3, and because of traumas and intoxications – 10.8. In the same time, in the structure of the death rate of the population able to work, in 2002 – 2005, significant changes did not register, being kept on the cardiac diseases, followed by traumas, intoxications and malign tumours.
