Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, Commanding General of U.S. Army Europe, will visit the Republic of Moldova May 14-15 to meet with U.S. and Moldovan soldiers participating in Dragoon Pioneer 2016. General Hodges will also meet with Minister Salaru in acknowledgement of ongoing U.S.-Moldovan defense cooperation, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau, during his time in Moldova General Hodges will observe on-going construction at a joint U.S.-Moldovan project at the Tiganesti Monastery, where the U.S. and Moldovan engineers are improving a road as part of the training conducted during Dragoon Pioneer.
