Russia's gas giant Gazprom considers the opportunity of building gas mains on the territory of Moldova. This opportunity was discussed by Gazprom's board chair Alexey Miller and Prime Minister Zinaida Greceanyi, during her visit to Moscow, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Moldovan government's press service, Gazprom will also consider increasing investments in our country, adding to the sum of $30 million dollars already provided for in Moldova-Gaz's budget. During the visit to Moscow, Zinaida Greceanyi also held meetings with Andrey Fursenko, Russia's Minister of Education and Science and also Co-chairman of the Moldo-Russian Commission for Economic and Commercial Cooperation, and with Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin. Among the issues discussed were prospects for intenser commercial, economic, scientific and technical cooperation between Moldova and Russia. Andrey Fursenko remarked the positive trend in the Moldo-Russian collaboration, in particular the resumption of Moldovan exports of wine and agrifood to the Russian market, the cooperation in the energy sector, in education, etc. The interlocutors agreed that the next meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission would be held in Russia, with the exact date and location to be determined soon.
