Alexandru Gatcan didn’t go to Sweden. The captain of FC Rostov suffered an injury while training in Vadul lui Voda town and will be thus absent from the last match of the Euro 2016 qualifying competition, IPN reports.

Eugen Cheliadnic and Roman Shumkin also remained at home and won’t thus manage to make their debut for the national football team of Moldova. Fullback Victor Golovatenco, who was suspended for the last match played three days ago, rejoined the national squad.

“We didn’t come to Sweden to amuse ourselves. We are determined to score a victory. If Ibrahimovic has a successful day, it will be hard for us to do this,” Moldova coach Stefan Stoica told a news conference.

Sweden’s Markus Berg and Jimmy Durmaz will also be absent as they sustained injuries in the October 9 match against Liechtenstein.

The encounter between Sweden and Moldova is played on October 12, starting at 7pm. It will be controlled by Italian referee Luca Banti.
