Gasoline prices rose four times in nine months

The selling price of gasoline over January-September increased by 17.2% compared with the corresponding period last year, to 15.63 lei/liter. The price of diesel fuel and liquefied petroleum gas rose by 24.7% and, respectively, 15.4%. The average prices were 14.66 lei/liter and 7.5 lei/liter respectively, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the national energy regulator.
The average selling prices of gasoline in the period were amended four times, of diesel fuel – four times, while of liquefied petroleum gas – seven times.
The rise in the selling prices of gasoline and diesel fuel stemmed from the increase in the import prices following the higher oil and Platt ′s prices on the international stock exchanges.
As a result, the average import price of gasoline grew by 38.3% to 1,033.3 dollars/tonne, while of diesel fuel and liquefied petroleum gas – by 42.6% and, respectively, 36.7%, to 1,000.3 dollars/tonne and 839.9 dollars/tonne.
Imports of gasoline fell by 0.54% to 133,900 tonnes, while of diesel fuel rose by 17.9% to 252,300 tonnes and of liquefied petroleum gas – by 8.2%, to 55,400 tonnes.
63.2% of the gasoline was imported from Romania, 9.5% from Belarus, 7.6% from Bulgaria, by 6.6% from Lithuania and Greece, 6.5% from Hungary. 47.1% of the diesel fuel was imported from Romania, while 70% of the liquefied petroleum gas from Russia.
The retail sales of gasoline during January-September decreased by 6% compared with the same period last year, to 128,700 tonnes. The sales of diesel fuel rose by 9.2% to 168,300 tonnes, while of liquefied petroleum gas – by 12.6% to 47,700.
A number of 115 companies worked on the oil products market in the period.
