An underground high pressure gas pipeline was put into operation on the territory of the industrial park Tracom, IPN reports. The park’s administrator Vitalie Vrabie said that several months ago the 30 resident companies started to use a new water pipeline. Thus, the park’s infrastructure was considerably improved.

The investments made in the gas pipeline came to 1.54 million lei. “This project enables to revitalize the industrial production. Many settlements in Moldova have such industrial platforms that are not yet used. New, highly-paying jobs will be created if they are restored so that the people to not go abroad,” Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar said in the inauguration event.

The furniture company managed by Igor Arama was the first resident company that was connected to the gas pipeline. “We aim to annually reach a turnover of 50 million lei and will create 150 workplaces. We will sell furniture on the home market and in the CIS countries,” said the businessman.

The industrial park Tracom was set up in May 2011, on a territory of over 32 hectares. The resident companies pledged to invest 380 million lei in production development and to create 1,700 jobs. The residents make machines and equipment, wood and iron articles, and specialized clothing, provide ICT services, etc.
