Gas Natural Fenosa in Moldova declared a state of emergency of maximal gravity inside the company. According to the company’s Operational Center, in the morning of April 21, 560 settlements were partially or fully disconnected from the power supply following numerous cable ruptures and damaging of insulators as well as installation accidents. The central and southern districts of the country are the worst hit, IPN reports.
Operational teams repair the damaged aerial power lines and reconnect the disconnected communities. In a press release, Gas Natural Fenosa says that owing to the obstructions on the roads in southern Moldova, the teams of specialists face difficulties in remedying the situation.
