The cleanup company “Autosalubritate” may resume taking the garbage from Chisinau to the waste dump in Tantareni on March 1, deputy mayor Vlad Cotet announced Monday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Vlad Cotet said a consensus was reached with the mayor of Tantareni village of Aneni Noi district. Based on this agreement, “Autosalubritate” and the company “Eco-Tantareni” are to sign a new accord for the resumption of the transportation of waste from March 1. As many as 400 more signatures are to be collected from residents of Tantareni for the relevant services to be able to transport the garbage to the village. Until now there were collected over 1,600 signatures. “Autosalubritate” chief Tudor Maniv said the company will cover the costs for disinfecting the garbage dump and repairing a road portion, while the waste scales will be repaired by “Eco-Tantareni”. Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said he does not want speculations over this subject and asked that definite results be achieved. “Until all the problems aren’t solved, statements that the transportation of waste will resume on March 1 shouldn’t be made,” he stated. The mayor said that “Autosalubritate” is to build a cleaning station near the waste dump in Tanatareni. “There are ecological waste dumps all over the world and they are located further or closer to settlements. Moldova should also have such dumps,” he said. After the contract with the Tantareni mayor’s office is signed, the municipality will suggest several variants of tariffs for depositing the waste. Initially, the price of a tonne of garbage taken to Tantareni was 100 lei. Now the prices vary from 20 to 40 lei a tonne.
