Gala of festival “For Thou, God” ends in Chisinau

Christians from the Chisinau area could enjoy several hours of spiritual revelation at the Gala of the Laureates of the Contest-Festival of folk paschal song “For Thou, Doamne”, Info-Prim Neo reports. The gala was organized on April 24, following the initiative of the Chisinau Education General Direction, which sponsored the event. According to the head of the Direction, Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb, the contest was organized in two stages, in sectors and in the entire municipality, as it was joined by pupils and students. “The contest’s goal is to familiarize the young generation with the religious folk song, as we try to make society more receptive with profound and essential things, through these songs,” says Nicolae Grebincea, an official responsible for culture within the Botanica district office. According to organizers, the contest was attended by 20 soloists and 16 choirs, from which the jury selected 11 laureate soloists and granted three awards . The laureate soloists also received by 150 lei, as the soloists mentioned got by 100 lei. The choirs got prizes of 500 lei. The final stage of the Contest-Festival “For Thou, God” took place on April 22.
