The Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia was offered two firefighting vehicles by the Russian Federation through Russia’s Embassy, IPN reports.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the vehicles are outfitted with modern motor pumps and hydraulic equipment and cost almost €200,000. These can be used in difficult weather conditions and to get to communities with inaccessible roads.
As a result of the cooperation between the authorities of Gagauzia and representatives of the Russian Federation, the region also obtained five school buses and an ambulance.
