People in Gagauzia will pay a preferential rate of 10 lei for a cubic meter of natural gas, promised the governor Yevgeniya Gutsul.
“Now gas for the residents of Gagauzia will be several times cheaper: 10 lei per cubic meter of fuel. A Turkish company has signed a contract with a major European trader to buy gas directly from the European gas supply system. The Turkish company, for its part, signed a contract with a licensed operator from Moldova to deliver this gas at a special price”, said the governor.
She also said that negotiations are continuing to “help” Taraclia and Orhei districts, and within two weeks an agreement could be reached in this regard.
Today household consumers pay 18.6 lei including VAT for a cubic meter of natural gas.
