The students from Gagauzia can apply to study gratis at the Near East University of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. This is provided in a cooperation agreement signed by the General Education Division of Gagauzia and the university’s administration on September 20 in Comrat, IPN reports.
On behalf of Gagauzia, the agreement was signed by Vera Balov, who heads the General Education Division, while on behalf of the Cypriot side by the university’s rector Irfan Ghiunsel.
Under the five-year agreement, the Gagauz students will be provided with five places at the university. The Gagauz students will be able to study free at any of the 12 faculties of this prestigious education establishment.
