The authorities of Gagauzia constituted a special commission that will examine the circumstances in which a soldier from the region who was drafted into the National Army lost his life, IPN reports.
The commission consists of the Gagauz Governor’s deputy Valeri Ianioglo, commander of the local military center Andrei Russu and employees of the internal affairs division of Gagauzia.
According to Governor Mihail Formuzal, the commission will ensure maximum transparency in the investigation of the circumstances of the tragic incident.
A National Army soldier was wounded fatally from a gun on the territory of the Military Camp No. 142 in Chisinau on October 27. He was from Copceac village of the Gagauz district Ciadir-Lunga.
The Military Prosecutor’s Office started a criminal case over this incident. The prosecutors are also considering the suicide version.
