During holidays when most commercial banks were closed some currency exchange facilities exploited the moment to cash in, displaying a sell rate of 11.00 lei for the US dollar, while the buy rate stood at 11.27 lei, PhD Sveatoslav Mihalache, the director of the portal Financial Brains, told Info-Prim Neo.
Today, April 21, the US dollar is expected to trade at around 11.17 – 11.22 (bid) and 11.27 – 11.32 (ask).
The euro on the international market dropped on the first day of the week, trading at $1.2860. Financial Brains believes that this period, yet brief, is favorable to buy euros at cheap rates.
At the Moldovan exchange facilities the euro will trade today at 14.43 – 14.48 (bid) and 14.63 – 14.69 (ask).
