Futsal Arena FMF to host official matches for first time

Moldova for the first time will host the qualifying tournament of the European Futsal Championship. This became possible after the National Football Federation put into operation the stadium in Ciorescu commune of Chisinau municipality, IPN reports.

Moldova’s national team will struggle for qualification against France, Albania, and San Marino. “I’m convinced that we will be one of the two teams that will go through to the next stage. We must make no mistakes,” said the coach of the national squad Vladimir Vusatyi.

The first encounter, between France and San Marino, takes place on January 14, starting at 4pm. Moldova meets Albania at 6:30pm. On January 15, Albania plays against France, while Moldova against San Marino. On January 17, San Marino meets Albania, while France – Moldova.

The lineup for these matches is: Alexei Capsamun, Oleg Hilotii, Mihail Robu, Leonid Podlesnov (all from Olimpia Balti), Oleg Chitoroaga, Oleg Gojan, Alexandru Timbalist, Sergiu Munteanu (all from Progres Chisinau), Andrei Negara (Tarsus Chisinau), Cristian Obada (Autobergamo Deva, Romania), Constantin Burdujel (CS United Galati, Romania), Andrian Lascu (Dunarea Calarasi, Romania), Sergiu Tacot (Anorthosis, Cyprus) and Alexei Munteanu (Omonia, Cyprus).

Tickets for a day of competition cost 50 lei and are available from the box offices of the Futsal Arena FMF in Ciorescu starting with January 13. For children younger than seven, entrance is free of charge.
