Functions of Cabinet administration defined

Premier Vlad Filat will coordinate the work of the ministers and other members of the Government, the activities concerning the planning and implementation of public policies, including personnel policies and the reformation of the administrative system, as well as the Government's relations with the local public authorities. A relevant decision was approved by the executive with the aim of clearly defining the duties of the Cabinet's administration, Info-Prim Neo reports. The activities regarding foreign cooperation and European integration will be coordinated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Iurie Leanca. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar will coordinate the economic development matters, including in such areas as infrastructure, regional development, agriculture and environment. Deputy Ministers Ion Negrei and Victor Osipov will be responsible for the social sphere, namely science, education, youth, sport, culture, tourism, labor, health, social protection, humanitarian aid, interethnic relations, the country's reunification.
