Prime Minister Pavel Filip and Vice President of the European Commission, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini discussed the European progress of Moldova and the importance of Moldova signing an agreement with the IMF. Federica Mogherini noted that the fulfillment of the conditions imposed by the IMF is important for the EU too, including from the perspective of resuming European financing, IPN reports.
According to the Government’s press service, Prime Minister Pavel Filip had a meeting with Federica Mogherini on the sidelines of the 71st ordinary session of the UN General Assembly in New York. The fulfillment of the commitments assumed through the Association Agreement was one of the key subjects for discussion.
Pavel Filip reiterated the Government’s determination to ensure the implementation of the initiated reforms. He said the priority reform action roadmap was over 90% fulfilled, noting the efforts made to put this document into practice. An important role in this regard will be played by the new Association Agenda with the EU that is being worked out.
