Fugitive captured after month on the run

A man who escaped on July 29 from Prison no.9, also known as Pruncul, has been captured after a month on the run. Shortly he will be returned to jail, where he faces an additional term of two years for the escape, Info-Prim Neo. The Department of Correctional Institutions' press service reported that the man was caught in an ambush that was staged based on operative information. Now the fugitive is held at the Buiucani District Police Department in Chisinau for formal procedures. The 39-year-old man was initially sentenced for fraud to 7 years and 8 months' imprisonment.
