A number of oil companies reduced the prices of all types of fuels. The price of gasoline fell by 0.10 – 0.25 lei per liter, of diesel fuel – by 0.27-0.40 lei per liter, while of liquefied petroleum gas – by 0.15 – 0.40 lei per liter, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of the National Agency for Energy Regulation, the import prices of gasoline have decreased over the last two months, from US$1,063 to US$997 per tonne. The import prices of diesel fuel started to decrease in September and declined from US$1,026 to US$993 per tonne. In the period, the import prices of liquefied petroleum gas rose from US$608 to US$825 per tonne.
The market prices are set by the companies working in the oil sector, depending on the supply and demand and on a number variable factors such as the evolution of the price of crude oil on the world markets and of the external fuel prices, and the exchange rate of the leu against the dollar.
