Egg consumption has increased. The head of the poultry-breeding company “Avicola Moldova” Ion Bizgu has told Info-Prim Neo that owing to the frost the supply of vegetables and fruit on the market is lower and the people buy eggs more. The rise in the demand for eggs has not been yet assessed. Ion Bizgu denied the reports that the price of eggs rose by 1-1.5 lei per ten pieces, but did not exclude that some of the sellers could increase the price themselves in order to augment their incomes. At the market, 10 pieces of eggs can be purchased for 11-12 lei.
