A number of 25 trolleybuses running on routes in Chisinau were outfitted with Wi-Fi systems. The head of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company Gheorghe Morgoci, in the ordinary meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, said the free access to the Internet became available on February 1, IPN reports.
“The units of transport connected to the Internet network will have the wording ‘free Wi-Fi’ on the front part, under the windscreen, and near the middle door,” said Gheorghe Morgoci. According to him, there is by one vehicle outfitted with Wi-Fi practically on each trolleybus route.
Gheorghe Morgoci also said that under the contract signed by the Electric Transport Company with the service provider, Wi-Fi systems will be installed in another 192 trolleybus of the new model by August 1. The new trolleybuses that will be put on routes during the year will also have Wi-Fi.
