The free movement over the Nistru to and from settlements situated on the left side of the Nistru and in Bender municipality will be ensured during the Easter holidays. Such a decision was taken as a result of the correspondence between the key negotiators to the Transnistrian settlement process of Chisinau and Tiraspol, IPN reports, quoting the Reintegration Policies Bureau.
Given the WHO recommendations and the evolution of the immunization process, in its call to Tiraspol Chisinau underlined the necessity of extending this approach for the immediate periods and reiterated that the resumption of unhampered circulation between the two banks of the Nistru is in the interests of the citizens.
The response received from Tiraspol says that the crossings through the so-called internal checkpoints during April 30 – May 10, 2021 will be possible without the previous restrictions and without coordination with local “crisis centers”. If the number of cases of COVID-19 declines, there will be considered the possibility of returning to the movement mechanism applied before the institution of quarantine.
