A retrospective of the daily life of the Moldovan people during a year is contained in two volumes that were launched at Radio Free Europe.
The author of the book “Reality in detail 2012”, Iulian Ciocan, has told Info-Prim Neo that every morning he states his view on what he saw in his two-minute morning program. The ideas gathered during a year were selected and put on paper.
“I refer to things related to daily life. I’m interested in curious situations. For example, one day I saw how a car caught fire in the street. The driver got out and tried to extinguish the flames. Some people tried to help him, while others did nothing. Several young persons were laughing and filming the incident on the mobile phone. I started to wonder why they were laughing and what place they occupied in society. What future do we have?” said Iulian Ciocan.
Until now the author colleted six “Reality in detail” volumes. The sixth book was printed in 500 copies and is available from the head office of Radio Free Europe.
Another volume launched by Radio Free Europe, “Weekly journals 2012”, was compiled by journalist Valentina Ursu. Every week, the journalist has by a new invitee who tells his/her sorrows, what they see at the workplace and what happens in the family during a minute, from Monday through Friday. “Afterward, we publish the stories on the website. At yearend we publish a book with all the journals,” said the author. The eighth book was printed in 1,000 copies.
The books were presented at the Academy of Economic Studies and at a library in Soroca.
