Free Economic Zone Customs „Ungheni-Business” paid in the state budget more than 7 million lei

More that 7 million lei were paid in 2006 in the state budget by the Free Economic Zone (FEZ) Customs “Ungheni-Business”, one of the subdivisions of Ungheni Customs Office. At present, this subdivision serves about 40 economic agents which have about 1200 employees. The interim head of this subdivision, Nicolae Gutu, says that during this period 1545 customs declarations were concluded, of which 233 for the goods imported in FEZ, 224 for the products exported from FEZ zone and 318 for the import of the goods produced in the free economic territory of the Republic of Moldova. Carpets, furniture, textiles, beverages, meat products etc. are exported from Ungheni. Since the beginning of 2006, the employees of FEZ customs “Ungheni-Business” paid in the state budget 3 million 810 thousand lei, resulted from the customs rights, customs procedures, customs taxes and 3 million 344 thousand 181 lei – VAT.
