Francophone University of Central and Eastern Europe to be created in Bucharest

Romania, as chairman of the International Francophony Organization (IFO), proposed as a project, to create in Bucharest the Francophone University of the Central and Eastern Europe.
Romanian PM Calin Popescu-Tariceanu declared at the Francophony Summit, which took place these days in Bucharest that this university must be “a prestigious center dedicated to creating professionals”. The head of the Romanian Government specified that he will invest an important sum of money for the implementation of this project.
The programmes elaborated within the frameworks of the university will be easy of access to all students and researchers of the francophone world, either directly, or via its virtual network, the prime-minister emphasized.
53 countries are members of OIF and another 10 have the statute of observers.
