On July 11, the citizens must vote with the heart for the future of children, for statehood and for punishing those who are corrupt. By their vote, the people can save the country after making incorrect choices during 30 consecutive years, said the leader of the Party of Regions Alexandr Kalinin, who continues his hunger strike in support of employees of Moldova’s Railways who haven’t been paid salaries for over half a year, IPN reports.

Alexandr Kalinin said the members of the current Government formed by Igor Dodon are not interested in citizens’ problems. They don’t care about the situation of the employees of Moldova’s Railways who cannot maintain their families, raised loans and can no longer cope. Functionaries of Moldova’s Railways approached them yesterday and told them that the hunger strike is useless as the problem was solved, the business being already sold to a Romanian company. Each functionary will answer for the committed illegalities and for the appropriation of public funds.

He called on Vladimir Voronin to withdraw from the bloc created together with the Socialist as he can this way become a national hero.

The leader of the Party of Regions said that when they enter Parliament, they will struggle to lift the immunity of the MPs who break the law, to unite society, to strengthen statehood and cooperation with Russia, to declare Russian the second official language. The citizens want to be governed by real patriots, honest people who would solve their problems either they represent the right or the left.

The party’s vice president Sergey Pashkov thanked those who supported them and didn’t yield to pressure. The party will make sure that those who stole public funds are punished. Their team runs in elections not for parliamentary immunity. They will renounce it from the start. The people should unite to ensure the country’s development and secure the country’s future.

The hunger strike continues.
