A fourth shot of Covid vaccines will be offered in Moldova starting July 25. This was decided by the Ministry of Health based on recommendations from the National Consultative Committee of Experts on Immunization.
At this stage, eligible for a second booster shot are adults older than 60 years, people with chronic diseases, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers, and occupants of residential institutions and placement centers.
Other groups include health care workers, personnel at residential institutions and placement centers, social assistants, education workers, and law enforcement officers.
Other groups not included in the above may receive a second booster on request.
A second booster shot may be given not before at least four months have passed from the first booster. Recipients may choose from Comirnaty/Pfizer-BioNTech or Spikevax/Moderna vaccines.
