The police arrested four persons on suspicion that they stole a metal box with almost 280,000 lei inside it from a company based in Călărași the night before New Year’s Eve, IPN reports.
Searches were carried out before the arrest. Later, the four young men who are from Comrat and are aged between 27 and 35 were arrested. According to the General Police Inspectorate, three of them were earlier held in a penitentiary in the EU for similar offenses.
After questioning them, prosecutors decided to ask the Ciocana Court to issue a warrant for their arrest for 30 days.
The safe deposit box with almost 280,000 lei inside it was stolen from a market in Călărași on December 30, 2021. The persons forced the thermopane window and took the metal box away. The surveillance cameras filmed the stealing.
