Four persons aged between 15 and 20 died in a road accident that occurred on the R-20 Orhei-Rezina road nor far from Podgoreni village of Orhei district on September 9.
Press officer of the Orhei Police Inspectorate Irina Burdujan has told IPN that the tragedy happened at about 7am. A car driven by a man aged 20 skidded off the road and crashed into a tree. There were three passengers aged between 15 and 17 in the car. All the four died on the spot.
Two of the young people were from Orhei town, while the other two from Zahoreni village of Orhei district. They were returning from a birthday party. Two of the young people were related. The medical-legal examination will show if the driver was under the influence of alcohol. According to the first examinations, the driver was speeding.
