Four-year-old found dead near pile of burnt straw

A four-year-old child died from carbon monoxide poisoning in a fire that was allegedly caused by himself. The tragedy happened in Visoca village of Soroca district, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Sergiu Chircu, of the Rescuers and Firefighters Division, in the morning the boy was playing in the yard. At about 10.20, his mother went to a neighbor. When she returned at about 11.50 she saw smoke coming out of the shed. The neighbors rushed to help and extinguished the fire in several minutes. The body of the boy was discovered near a pile of burnt straw. It is presumed that the child left without supervision set the straw on fire. The 515 fires that happened this year claimed 75 lives, including of a child.
