Four victims of the Ukrainian bus crash are fighting for their lives in intensive care. Seven of the 19 hospitalized persons sustained minor injuries and will be discharged shortly, hospital spokespersons told Info-Prim Neo.
Eight persons whose condition is more serious have been admitted to the Borzna district hospital, Chernigov oblast, some 170 kilometers from the capital of Ukraine. Three remain in intensive care, three other in trauma surgery and two patients in therapy wards.
Other eleven survivors were driven to the Nijin town hospital. Doctors have told Info-Prim Neo a single patient remains in intensive care, while the others are admitted to trauma wards. The condition of half of the patients is stable and can be taken home.
The bus involved in a fatal accident that killed four Moldovans near an Ukrainian village called Krasnoe Ozero was bound for Moscow. The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle in a curb, causing the bus to overturn.
Sources within the Moldovan Embassy in Kiev have told Info-Prim Neo the identities of those who died in the crash haven't been established yet. However, the name of the driver is not on the casualty list, nor among those hospitalized. 18 out of 19 persons admitted to hospital are Moldovan nationals, while another one is from Uzbekistan.
