Four people, including a young woman and a minor, are suspected of robbing an elderly couple, both aged 75, in Durlesti town of Chisinau municipality, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, the suspects, having their faces covered, allegedly entered the victims’ house by forcing the window on the night of August 7. The two elderly persons were kicked and punched and stabbed with a knife. The robbers left with 3,000 lei, golden jewelry and a mobile phone.
The suspects, a 17-year-old minor, a 20-year-old woman and two other young men aged 20 and 30, were detained with the assistance of officers of the Special Purpose Police Brigade “Fulger”. They are under investigation for robbery committed by several people. If their guilt is proven, they risk 8 to 10 years in prison.
