Vadim Pisari is to be buried on Wednesday. The tragedy happened in the morning of January 1. The young man was driving a car, heading for Pirita. There was one passenger in the car. At the trilateral peacekeeping post No. 9, the driver ignored the peacekeepers’ request to stop and displaced the concrete barrier and the traffic sign “Stop”. According to official reports, the post’s chief fired several shots in the air and then at the car. A bullet penetrated the young man’s back. He died at the Chisinau Emergency Hospital several hours after the incident.
