Four residents of Temeleuti village investigated for illegally keeping guns

Police officers from Chisinau and Calarasi inspected a number of houses in Temeleuti village and found a large number of arms and munitions held illegally, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the head of the General Police Commissariat’s press office Adrian Jovmir, there were seized an RGD-5 grenade, 56 cartridges, an air gun “Baikal”, 12 hunter guns, an AKM pistol, accessories for loading guns, and other munitions. The police are to establish if these arms had been used to commit offenses. The munitions were held by four inhabitants of the village aged between 44 and 59. All the four are investigated on the outside for illegally keeping guns. They face a fine of 6,000 to 12,000 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or up to three years’ imprisonment.
