The first four playgrounds built as part of the municipal program to lay out sports and recreation areas inside yards of apartment buildings in Chișinău were put up.
Vasile Efros, head of the Territorial Development Section of the Public Amenities Division, has told IPN that the equipment for playgrounds was made in Ukraine and was delivered by a company operating in the Republic of Moldova. The costs for setting up a playground amount to 120,000 lei. The equipment can be used for about ten years, but maintenance works are to be performed in the period.
The complex has two slides, a swing, a carousel and arched figurines. There are installed seats and one can also sit on the bench-like fence set up around the playground. The four playgrounds are situated at 782/2 and 814 Muncești St, 43/1 Botanica Veche St and 15 Trandafirilor St.
The project envisions the building of 70 playgrounds, 25 fitness and workout grounds and five sportsgrounds. The budget is of 12 million lei.
