Four pedestrians, including two minors, were injured in traffic accidents

Four pedestrians, including two minors, were hospitalized on Friday with various injuries sustained in traffic accidents on Chisinau roads. Dr. Anatol Proca of the Chisinau Emergency Service has told Info-Prim Neo that a 7-year-old girl was struck by a taxicab near Iulia Hasdeu School on Titulescu Street. The child was admitted to hospital with brain concussion, fracture of the femur and contusion of internal organs. A VAZ car hit a 16-year-old girl at the intersection of Studentilor Street and Moscova Blvd, causing her brain concussion. An elderly woman, 77, was hospitalized for head injury treatment after being hit by a Moskvich car on Uzinelor Str. Another female pedestrian, 53, ended up with her left shank bones fractured following a collision with an Opel-Omega on Salcamilor Street. The collision between a motorcycle and a Hyundai, occurred on Tisa Street, resulted in brain concussion and multiple contusions for the 42-year-old biker. A 16-year-old girl tried to commit suicide by taking an overdose of pills, while a 26-year-old woman, while drunk, cut her wrists for the same purpose. Over the past day and night, Chisinau ambulance crews responded to 645 emergency calls, involving 68 cases of acute viroses, 62 cases of trauma and 3 brain strokes.
