The judo team of Moldova left for Slovenia to take part in the Junior European Judo Championships that will take place in Maribor during September 15-17, IPN reports.
The competition will involve Mihai Doncila, Ion Nacu, Cornel Andries and Victor Sterpu. “We expect a medal will be won first of all by Cornel Andries. In the last two tournaments, he became a champion,” secretary general of the Moldovan Judo Federation Valeriu Duminica told a news conference.
The European Championships in Slovenia will bring together 500 judokas from 40 countries.
