The Republic of Moldova will be represented by four biathletes at the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, which begin on February 4. These are Mihail Usov, Maxim Makarov, Alina Stremous and Alla Gylenko.

The biathletes will enter the competition on February 5, when the Mixed Relay race is to take place. Alla Gylenko is from Ukraine and has represented Moldova since 2016. Mihail Usov, Maxim Makarov and Alina Stremous were born in Russia, but also became Moldovan citizens the last few years.

Natalia Levchenkova is the biathlete who achieved the best result for Moldova at the Winter Olympics so far. At the Torino Olympic Gems of 2006, the Russian-born athlete ranked eighth in the 15-km individual race. That year, Moldova had four biathletes at the Winter Olympics the last time.
