Four men seriously injured in road accident

Four young men walking through Cainarii-Vechi village of Soroca district were struck by a car driven by an inebriated 27-year-old man. Paulina Yakimovski, senior PR specialist of the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened at about 3.00 am. A VAZ-21061 went out of control at a turn, skidded and struck four young men aged 18, 19 and 20 moving along the sidewalk. The victims suffered severe traumas and were rushed to the Soroca district hospital. A man aged 56 going along the Chisinau-Vatra road was struck by a car. The driver did not stop to help. The victim was admitted to the Emergency Hospital with a cranial-cerebral trauma, a concussion and forehead injury. The police are looking for the driver and the car. Twelve persons were injured in ten accidents on the national roads on Monday and on Tuesday night. Another 14 accidents caused no victims.
