Four killed in Ocnita traffic accident

Four people were killed and two others were injured after a minibus impacted violently with a tractor plow. As the Traffic Police Division reported, the accident occurred last night at the exit from the village of Paladea, Ocnita district. The driver of the minibus that carried 5 passengers was blinded by the lights of the tractor which was coming from the opposite direction and crashed the vehicle into the plow towed by the tractor. As a result of the accident, the driver and two passengers on the Mercedes minibus died instantly, and a fourth person died in hospital. Two other passengers were admitted to the Ocnita District Hospital. The tractor driver escaped unharmed. Sources within the village hall said the victims were seasonal workers from Edinet district who were returning home after gathering apples in Paladea.
