Four killed in car crash & fire

Four young men, aged between 17 and 20, burned to death in a car on Brest-Chisinau-Odessa roadway near Grinauti village. The accident occurred on April 7, at 21:30.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the four young men were travelling in a “Ford-Mondeo”, driven by a 17 year old, resident of Bratusenii Noi village, Edinet raion. The teenager was speeding, lost control of the steering and ran into a tree. Because of the collision, the car took fire. The driver and the three passengers aged 20 died in the fire.
According to the witnesses, one of the victims was a full-term soldier who was on a leave for Easter.
In 2007, 746 traffic accidents were registered in Moldova. These accidents resulted in 90 casualties and 714 injured.
