Four recently drafted soldiers who left the Balti military unit last night came back. They went home without the consent of their superiors, press officer of the Ministry of Defense Ana Diaconu has told IPN.
Ana Diaconu said the four young men will not be held accountable for desertion as they haven’t yet taken a vow and the period of 24 hours since they left the unit hasn’t expired.
An internal inquiry was launched to establish why the soldiers left the garrison.
