The Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau on September 1 will be shared by the participants in four announced events, IPN reports.
According to the website of the Chisinau City Hall, the list of those that submitted notifications of planned demonstrations includes the Party of Socialists, which intends to mount a protest that is to be expectably attended by 20,000 people. The goal of the protest is not specified.
Aurel Bucureanu, Alexei Frolkov and Svetlana Shandrovskaya will stage a protest against the rise in fuel prices. The protesters will demand that the fuel prices should be reduced to 14-15 lei a liter.
The public association “Credință Patriei” (“Faith to the Motherland”) announced a demonstration to promote the national-patriotic values.
The Alliance for the Centenary will hold an event intended for all those who want Moldova to unite with Romania.
Similar notifications were submitted to the City Hall for August 26. The head of the Legal Assistance Division Valeriu Bogdan said then that the right to hold events is stipulated in the Constitution and the City Hall cannot prevent someone from exercising this right.
