Four Constitutional Court judges sworn into office

The four newly appointed Constitutional Court (CC) judges took the oath before Parliament, Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin and Higher Council of the Magistracy on Friday, February 23. The four judges who have taken their oath of office are: Victor Puscas, Valeria Sterbet, Dumitru Pulbere and Elena Safaleru. Dumitru Pulbere and Elena Safaleru were appointed to the position by the Parliament on the same day, as their mandate has expired. Another two judges were designated by the Higher Council of the Magistracy. CC is composed of six judges, appointed for a six-year term. Also today, CC celebrates the 12th anniversary of foundation.
