Four Bronze Age graves discovered in Branzenii Noi

The archeological excavations in Branzenii Noi village of Telenesti district, where four graves from the early Bronze Age were found, will continue throughout October.

Contacted by IPN, director of the National Archeology Agency Vlad Vornic said that the first stage of archeological excavations on tumuli, near the building site on the Sarateni-Soroca road, took place in April – May. The first grave was discovered then.

Currently, there are performed works to save a prehistoric mound in Branzenii Noi. The archeologists discovered there three more Bronze Age graves. The tumuli found recently on the same route will be supervised. They can hide more graves dating from the Bronze Age up to the Middle Ages, said Vlad Vornic.

Earlier, during archeological digging near Rogojeni village of Soldanesti district there were discovered a number of complexes that are 6,500-7,000 years old.
