Forum of environmental NGOs to be founded

A number of environmental nongovernmental organizations of Moldova plan to create a forum for exchanging the information, knowledge and experience accumulated during the last few years. The NGOs also intend to launch and support the dialogue between civil society and the private sector, the public associations working in other development areas and the relevant authorities, Info-Prim Neo reports. The forum is to be constituted on February 3-4. Afterward, it will work out joint platforms of NGOs that will be presented at different national and international events throughout 2011. The initiative to found the forum was put forward by Eco-Contact and the National Environment and Pro Rural Development Center in concert with the Dutch foundation Jos Milieukontakt International. The forum will be created with financial support from the MATRA Program of the Dutch Foreign Ministry, the Global Environment and Technology Foundation, and UNDP Moldova.
